Apart from the obvious applications of dust suppression, what are the other applications Magnum Australia products can be used for?

Valves - fixed mounted for stockpile dust control, front vehicle mounted for cleaning roads and gutters, tree and grass watering, road construction (water for compaction), fire control/protection (vehicle tyre, grass controlled burn off).

Cannons - hydraulic mining (sand, tailing) fire fighting (oil rigs, mobile water tanks, fixed position locations, petrochemical fire safety) riot control, equipment wash down, underground clearing of rock hang up in stopes.

What other liquids or things can be passed through water canons?

Many things can potentially be passed through a water cannon apart from water, for example Magnum cannons have been used in the Seeding industry to pass seed and foam through them. You would just need to discuss your required throughput with us to ensure suitability.

How does a remote cannon operate?

Remote cannons may be either hydraulic or air operated.

What is the difference between hydraulic and air operation?

They both run on the same principals of pressure, either tapping into the hydraulic tank or the air tank on the truck.

I am unable to tap into the Hydraulics on my truck. Can I still use one of your hydraulically operated cannons?

Magnum can supply an independent tank and motor set up at no additional cost.

What is the minimum pressure required to open the spray head valve?

One valve 20psi; Two valves 40psi; Three valves 60psi; Four valves 100psi

What is the minimum pressure to close the valve?

How many litres does a valve head spray?

1019D = 82,000 l/hr or 22.8 l/sec
MMV/B = 27,000 l/hr or 7.5 l/sec

If my valve is leaking air. Which seal do I replace?

Diaphragm small o'ring or air fitting.

Can I run any size pipe work to the spray head?

YES though Magnum Australia recommends sizes of 3” for the 1019D and 2” for the MMV/B.

Does the water shut off when I turn my cabin switching off?

Yes, air assists the spring to close the valve.

Will the valve function properly if I am running pit or slurry water?

Yes.
