The Magnum range of water cannons have been designed and developed to service the specific demands of the mining and quarry industries. Standard stock sizes available from 1 1/2" to 4" units offered as manual (MM), joystick controlled remote (RM), radio frequency controlled remote (RM) and fully automated pre-programmable systems.

The bare cannon design of all units is conceptually identical. The patented swivel bearing for controlling slew and elevation movement ensures a long working life and requires minimal maintenance. The unique features of this bearing do away with ball bearings and replace them with a self-lubricating graphite impregnated product. This hi-tech material is fitted into the bearing housing providing a large and flat surface area. This concept reduces bearing fatigue caused by high vibration transfer when in operation on rough roads or continuous automated use in fixed wash down applications.

Conventional bearing designs suffer from the balls fracturing and wearing into the ball race of the bearing housing, thus allowing water to migrate past the seals causing the bearing to leak and ultimately seize. Other inherit design faults recognised with conventional bearings is their tendency to "flog out" when operating in rough terrain due to their small surface area; offering little support in proportion to the weight that they must carry and control.

A foam induction adjustable fog nozzle constructed from 316 s/s is also available as an option. This unit can also be fitted as a manually operated or cabin controlled unit. All units are closed pressure tested at time of assembly. Units are rated to 400 psi (3000 kpa). All units are sandblasted, electroplated, primer coated and enamel finished to provide maximum corrosion protection and a quality finish.
